Beasley Ross Tuition Agency
Terms & Conditions for Clients
1. Purpose of Tuition
Our tutors are committed to providing high-quality academic support and will always aim to make a positive and meaningful impact on each pupil’s learning. However, while tutors will work diligently to support progress, specific outcomes such as grade increases, exam results, or academic performance improvements cannot be guaranteed.
2. Safeguarding/ Parental Presence and Communication
We interview and carry out or confirm background checks (such as DBS checks) on tutors where stated; however, this does not constitute a guarantee of safety or suitability and clients must exercise their own judgment.
For safeguarding and transparency, a parent or responsible adult must be present at home during all lessons that take place online.
Parents/guardians must also ensure that they are copied into any communication between the tutor and learner(s) outside of lessons, including but not limited to email, WhatsApp, or other messaging platforms.
Any safeguarding concerns must be reported to Beasley Ross Tuition Agency immediately.
3. Payments and Billing
Payment is triggered once your Tutor confirms that a lesson has taken place and raises an invoice. You will be emailed via Tutor Cruncher. Payment card details will need to be uploaded securely to Stripe (via Tutor Cruncher). After this initial payment, future lesson fees will continue to be invoiced after every session. You will only need to add your card details once as these are stored securely on Stripe.
4. Lesson Cancellations
If you need to cancel or rearrange a lesson, a minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required. If less than 24 hours’ notice is given, the tutor reserves the right to charge for the lesson in full.
From time to time, your Tutor might have to rearrange a lesson due to a Parents Evening or other commitment. Please contact Beasley Ross Tuition Agency if you need any support due to cancellation.
5. Lesson Punctuality
If a pupil is late, the lesson will still finish at the agreed time unless the tutor is able to accommodate a new finish time.
If a tutor is late, the time should be made up where possible.
6. Marking of Work Outside Lessons
If a tutor is asked to mark, review, or provide feedback on work outside of the scheduled lesson time, the tutor will charge their normal hourly rate (unless otherwise agreed)
7. Agency Arrangement
Beasley Ross operates as a Tuition ‘Agency’, not a Tuition ‘Business’. The hourly rate quoted for tuition includes a small arrangement fee payable to Beasley Ross Tuition Agency for organising the tuition. All tutors are self-employed and are not directly employed by Beasley Ross Tuition Agency.
Clients introduced to a tutor through Beasley Ross Tuition Agency may not engage that tutor privately without written consent from the Agency.
8. Tuition Termination
If you wish to discontinue tuition, one lesson’s notice must be provided in writing to Beasley Ross Tuition Agency.
Clients introduced to a tutor through Beasley Ross Tuition Agency may not engage that tutor privately for a period of 6 months without written consent from the Agency.
9. Online-only tuition
All tuition arranged through Beasley Ross Tuition Agency is strictly provided online via remote communication methods (e.g. video conferencing platforms). In-person tuition is not offered, arranged, or permitted through our agency.
Clients, pupils and tutors introduced through Beasley Ross Tuition Agency agree that they will not arrange, request, or conduct in-person tuition sessions with one another, whether during or after the introduction, where the introduction originated through our agency.
